Michael Bernard Beckwtih is the founder of the Agape International Spiritual Center, the Association for Global New Thought, and the Season for Nonviolence. He shares his vision of a world joined together spiritually, educationally, scientifically, governmentally, economically and socially. In 1986, Rev. Beckwith founded a trans-denominational community, which today counts a membership of hundreds of thousands locally and millions of worldwide enthusiasts devoted to the study and practice of the universal truth teachings of the ages. The members and friends of his community don’t just study the theories, they work in many
aspects of community service, both locally and globally.
As the co-director of A Season for Nonviolence, Beckwith promotes the principles of nonviolence taught by Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., work that is endorsed by UNESCO on behalf of its Culture of Peace and Nonviolence Appeal by Nobel Peace Laureates., as well as Dr. C.T. Vivian, Dr. A.T. Ariyaratne of Sri Lanka, His Holiness the Dalai Lama of Tibet, and Dr. Robert Muller. In 2004 Beckwith was again a keynote speaker at the United Nations inaugurating Season for Nonviolence. In 2004 Beckwith served as an assembly member of the Parliament of the World’s Religions conference in Barcelona, Spain.
Among all of his other work, Beckwith is a sought after meditation teacher and retreat leader, and facilitates conferences and seminars on the Life Visioning Process which he originated.
