Victress Hitchcock has been directing award winning documentary and educational films for 35 years. She has been studying and practicing Buddhism for the same length of time. She graduated from the London Film School and is a recipient of a Creative Fellowship in Media from the Colorado Council on the Arts.

Her documentary films include What Can I Tell You, Song of the Open Road, Children of Wind River, and Blessings: The Tsoknyi Nangchen Nuns of Tibet. She wrote and directed Grandfather Sky, a short dramatic film for Native American Public Broadcasting. Her educational films include Nicholas and the Baby and numerous violence and drug prevention programs for Discovery Education.
