Marilyn McFarlane

As a travel writer, Marilyn McFarlane has spent her career writing about far-off lands and world cultures. In addition to authoring several guidebooks,writing a regular travel blog, and working as a staff writer for www.europeupclose.com, McFarlane has also written for numerous magazines and newspapers.

Her devout Presbyterian upbringing combined with her passion for international travel led to an early interest in world religions. Today, her adventures often lead to world-famous sacred sites like the Golden Temple of Amritsar in India or the Great Mosque in Morocco.

McFarlane lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband, two cats, and many books.
