Serge Kahili King, Ph.D., has used his academic background in psychology, cross-cultural studies, and international business; his years of training in African and Hawaiian shamanism, his hands-on experience of seven years in community development in West Africa, and his many years as an entrepreneur to develop lectures, workshops and courses that provide people around the world with ways and means to improve their lives by incorporating shamanic ideas into their ways of thinking and acting. In addition to speaking and teaching in many countries, he has formed Aloha International, a worldwide non-profit network of teachers, counselors, massage therapists and more than ten thousand individual members for the purpose of helping to make the world a better place.

As an author, Dr. King has published the world's largest selection of books and digital media on Huna, the Polynesian philosophy and practice of effective living, and on the spirit of Aloha, the attitude of love and peace for which the Hawaiian Islands are so famous. He also writes extensively on Hawaiian culture and he is a novelist and computer game designer as well. Most recently he has created a Huna center on an island in the virtual world of Second Life where people from all over the world gather to learn and share and grow.
