What if you could take the world’s leaders out for coffee and learn the secrets to their success?

That’s the question that changed my life’s trajectory.

Aloha, my name is Eric Saperston. For decades, I’ve dedicated my life to unlocking the wisdom of extraordinary people and sharing it with the world.

After college, I bought a vintage Volkswagen Bus, loaded up my golden retriever Jack, and set out to follow the Grateful Dead and work a ski season in Aspen. On a dare from my mentor to make the trip more meaningful, I decided to bridge the gap between young people and wise elders. I began cold calling the most powerful people in the world—presidents, pioneers, and leaders of industry—and inviting them to join me for a cup of coffee.

I wanted to find the values and strategies that enable everyday people to live extraordinary lives. What started as a personal quest to answer life’s big questions:

Why am I here?

How do I find happiness?

What is success?

…evolved into an award-winning film, bestselling book, launched a global movement, and has put me on thousands of stages as a critically acclaimed keynote speaker.

The Big Ah-Ha

After studying what separates ordinary achievement from legendary success, I discovered a common thread. These people aren’t cynical, jaded, or know-it-alls. They don’t approach life as a series of problems to be managed.

Instead, they approach life as an adventure. They see the world as a collection of riddles and puzzles to be solved. They are open-minded, inquisitive, and relentlessly follow their curiosity.

The secret that separates the “good” from the “extraordinary” is simple: Extraordinary people live in wonder.

Wonder is our natural state. It fuels creativity, resilience, and altruism. It makes us more humble and improves our critical thinking. Most importantly, wonder allows us to authentically connect with others. It widens our pupils, puts our brains in a receptive state, and anchors us in the delight of being alive.

Turn Strangers into Friends and Friends into Family

Today, we are living through a paradox. We are the most digitally connected society in history, yet we are the most isolated, polarized, and lonely. We are drowning in information but starving for wisdom.

Technology is supposed to connect us together, but instead, it has eroded our face-to-face interactions and active listening skills. Our team realized we needed to be part of the solution.

We wanted a way to get people off their screens and back to the dining room table.

That is why we created the Three Things game.

It is a refreshing antidote to the digital noise—a game designed to bring people together, bridge generations, and celebrate lived experiences.
