Jennifer Blair, LAc, MaOm, holds a masters degree in Oriental Medicine from the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University. She is NCCAOM certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology and holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She also holds a Certificate in Therapeutic Coaching from the Meta Institute and is trained in NLP, hypnosis, guided imagery and qi gong. Her approach to practice combines the most appropriate of these tools for each patient.Jennifer serves patients as part of an integrated group of providers at the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing, within the Allina Health System.
She also works on their Learning and Development team to bring integrative approaches across the system and is a member of the adjunct faculty at the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University. Whether working with students or patients, education is at the root of Jennifer’s approach to Chinese medicine. Her goal is to help each individual she works with to unlock his or her own abilities and insights for self-healing. Jennifer is a current board member for the AHMA, holding the positions of Board Secretary, 2014 Conference Chair and representative to the IMC.Cynthia Miller, RN, LAc, MTOM, has been practicing Chinese Medicine since 1997. She holds a Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and is a graduate of the Minnesota Center for Shiatsu Studies. She is NCCAOM certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology.Cynthia has been a registered nurse for more than 25 years and she has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, home infusion and clinical research. She joined the Penny George Institute for Health & Healing in 2005. Her areas of interest include community-style acupuncture, global health and education. She helped to create the group acupuncture program in the Joint Replacement Center (JRC) at Abbott Northwestern. She shares her enthusiasm for that program as a supervisor for acupuncture interns from the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University who each spend part of their rotation at the hospital working in the JRC.
