How BWP is Celebrating the Holidays

As we were in our weekly production meeting, I saw some catalogs on the table. One was for Heifer International, a fabulous organization that sends animals to struggling parts of the world to help them provide food, shelter, and a sustainable lifestyle to families in need of support. It is one of my favorite organizations, and I have always wanted to give a pig or a cow as a gift to someone in my family, but somehow the tangible thing always wins out.

But today I learned that as an expression of their gratitude for an incredible year, our owners have not just purchased the pig or cow that I have longed to give, but an entire Ark! It's an absolutely extraordinary gift that will help hundreds right away and even more as the pair goats that are going to El Salvador have kids, as the oxen plow the fields in Uganda to bolster the crops, and as the sheep going to Arizona grow their thick wool coats to help support their new family. In total over 50 animals will go to support families all over the world thanks to Beyond Words' generosity.

As if this weren't enough Beyond Words will also be donating to World Pulse, and organization that helps women around the world find their voice. They provide platforms where women can share their stories for their magazine or on Pulse Wire an online network of women.
