Bernie Siegel, M.D., is widely known as an author, speaker and patient advocate. He attended Colgate University and Cornell University Medical College and graduated with honors.In 1978 he founded Exceptional Cancer Patients, ECaP.

In 1989, Bernie retired from Yale New Haven Hospital as an Assistant Clinical Professor of General and Pediatric Surgery to speak to and empower patients.

In May 2011, he was honored by the Watkins Review of London, England, as one of the Top 20 Spiritually Influential Living People on the Planet. His focus is on mind-body relationships and self-induced healing.
