No One Has to Die Alone author Dr. Lani Leary will be presenting a TED Talk at TEDx Honolulu on November 1, 2011. Drawing from her experience sitting with over 500 people as they died and caring for her own parents through terminal illness, Dr. Lani Leary guides caregivers, family, and friends through the complex process of supporting a dying loved one while also addressing their own grieving process.

Along with her professional experience, Dr. Leary opens the conversation around death by relating her own personal experiences with the death of loved ones. Sure to be an inspiring talk, Dr. Leary offers accessible insights, practical tools, and personal stories to provide a sense of community, profound relief, and deep meaning for both caregiver and patient.

We got a special sneak listen to Dr. Leary's talk in the office this afternoon. By the end we were all a little teary eyed but also full of hope. We can't wait to watch the talk live November 1, 2011 at 11:30 am HST (that's 2:30 pm PST).

Follow Dr. Leary via her website, or via Twitter @DrLaniLeary.
