Last September the Beyond Words staff had the honor and privilege of meeting Grandmother Agnes, one of the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers. Each insight she shared at our author event felt like it not only came from years of experience, but also the wisdom of all thirteen grandmothers. Inspirational does not seem like a powerful enough word. She brought such remarkable insight to our time together, everyone felt like a part of something much bigger than themselves.
Today, we are even more honored to be able to share with the world the film made to share the message of the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, called For the Next 7 Generations.
In 2004, these 13 Grandmothers came together from all corners of the world to create an alliance of prayer, education, and healing for the earth, for the people, for the children, and for the next 7 generations to come. This is their story.
